Back to the classroom: OPHI opens bookings for hybrid Summer School in Indonesia

OPHI is delighted to announce that booking is now open for a hybrid version of the OPHI Summer School which returns this August. Kindly hosted by the Economics Faculty, Universitas Indonesia, participants will be able to choose between online or in-person attendance. 

The OPHI Summer School is aimed at those who are working on, or actively interested in gaining skills in multidimensional poverty measurement, particularly professional staff of national offices of statistics and government ministries that deal with poverty reduction, professionals from international development institutions, academics, and doctoral students. 

The purpose of the intensive two-week Summer School is to provide a thorough technical introduction to multidimensional poverty measurement using the Alkire-Foster (AF) method as well as examples of its practical applications. 

The Summer School, which will run from 1–13 August, will be conducted by OPHI Director, Sabina Alkire, and the OPHI team, including researchers and academics with extensive experience of developing and implementing Multidimensional Poverty Indices (MPIs). 

Applications close 13 May 2022.
