These papers analyse trends of AF-based indices and subindices as measured by observed changes of these measures over time. Taking a step further, some of these papers also compute and analyse nowcasts and projections of these measures, primarily taking a mathematical approach to forecasting.

These papers include a component studying trends over time in multidimensional poverty indices at the national or regional level, which may also be disaggregated by groups and broken down by indicators; they may examine further issues such as if the poorest are being left behind or catching up.
