According to the global MPI 2023, 1.1 billion people (just over 18% of the population) are multidimensionally poor. The report Unstacking global poverty: Data for high-impact action presents a compact update on the state of the world’s multidimensional poverty based on descriptive analysis.

According to the global MPI 2022, 1.2 billion people (19.1% of the population) are multidimensionally poor. The report Unpacking deprivation bundles to reduce multidimensional poverty examines interlinkages between deprivations. 

According to the global MPI 2021, 1.3 billion people (21.7%) are multidimensionally poor. The report Unmasking disparities by ethnicity, caste and gender examines inequalities along the lines of ethnicity, case and gender across multidimensionally poor people globally.

The report Charting Pathways out of Multidimensional Poverty: Achieving the SDGs, presents the first comprehensive study of harmonized MPI trends indicating that 65 out of 75 countries reduced MPI significantly.

According to the global MPI 2013, 1.6 billion people (31% of the population) are multidimensionally poor. Briefings are presented on the 'bottom billion', India, analysing poverty reduction and robustness. 

According to the global MPI 2011,1.65 billion people (21% of the population covered) are multidimensionally poor. Briefings present the findings for the global MPI and explore least developed countries. 

The global MPI 2010 compares acute multidimensional poverty for 104 countries in developing regions. According to the global MPI, 1.7 billion people (32% of the population) are multidimensionally poor.
