Destitution & moderate poverty

Monetary poverty measures using multiple poverty lines are often reported. In addition to implementing multiple poverty cutoffs, multidimensional poverty measures can create nested measures in which the weights and poverty cutoff are sustained but indicator deprivation thresholds are changed to illuminate a subset of the poor who are destitute, or a superset of the poor who suffer from serious but more ambitious deprivations. The papers in this section canvas these types of options.
