Global MPI 2011
The 2011 global Multidimensional Poverty Index studied multidimensional poverty in 109 developing nations and covers 5.3 billion people – or 79% of the global population – and 93% of people in developing countries. Changes over Time have been analysed for 10 countries and their subnational regions
The 2011 global MPI is based on the most recent publicly available household survey data, which were household surveys between the years 2000 and 2010. Five new countries were added since the 2010 release, and the datasets of 20 countries were updated.
