OPHI held a two-day (6 and 7 December) research workshop on the “Determinants of Multidimensional Poverty Levels and Trends” at the University of Oxford. The aim of the workshop was to look at the various possible determinants of multidimensional poverty and the drivers of poverty reductions. A second important objective of the workshop was to illustrate appropriate methodologies to analyse multidimensional poverty data and discuss methodological challenges surrounding this type of analyses. OPHI researchers presented seven papers and others presented three. Participants and discussants included Sabina Alkire, Koen Decanq, Andrew Gelman, Douglas Gollin, William Greene, Katsushi Imai, Stefan Klonner, Brian Nolan, Natalie Quinn, and Suman Seth.
