New Working Paper on multidimensional poverty in Europe

Poverty is often thought of as an issue of concern mainly for developing countries. But methods for measuring multidimensional poverty can also be applied in Western country contexts. A new Working Paper, written by Sabina Alkire and Mauricio Apablaza, uses EU statistics on income and living conditions to explore levels of multidimensional poverty in more than 30 European countries. The authors also look at how the situation changed from 2006 to 2012. Read more
