The Guatemala MPI 2019 is based on data from the National Survey of Living Conditions 2014 (ENCOVI 2014).
The report found that:
- 61.6% of the population lived in multidimensional poverty in 2014.
- The poverty intensity for 2014 was 48.6%.
- The MPI-Gt value for 2014 was 0.299, implying multidimensionally poor people experience 29.9 percent of the weighted deprivations, relative to the maximum possible deprivations they would experience if everyone in Guatemala were poor and deprived in all dimensions.
