Revealed Meta-Preferences: Axiomatic Foundations of Normative Assessments in the Capability Approach

The paper looks at the axiomatic foundations of normative assessments in the capability approach. In particular it reviews the validity of the axiom of revealed preferences in view of A.K. Sen's critique and proposes an alternative formulation and associated ranking rules.
