Dr Nicolai Suppa

Research Associate


Nicolai is a Serra Húnter fellow at the University of Barcelona, Department of Econometrics, Statistics and Applied Economics. He received his PhD in economics from TU Dortmund, Germany. His research focuses on multidimensional poverty measurement and analysis.

Nicolai is a Research Associate at OPHI and currently working on several research projects with OPHI colleagues. Since 2018, he has co-led the estimation of the global Multidimensional Poverty Index (global MPI) together with Usha Kanagaratnam and Sabina Alkire. He has also taught at several OPHI Summer Schools.
