Baba Ali Mwango
Biography
Baba Ali provides technical advice on the development of Multidimensional Poverty Indices (MPIs), engages in training activities and workshops, and assists in crafting detailed reports and policy briefs to advance the understanding and application of multidimensional poverty metrics.
Previously, Baba Ali worked at the Rwanda National Statistical Office (NSO), where he used household survey data to calculate the national cost of living index and analyze welfare distribution, identifying populations in poverty using both monetary and non-monetary approaches. He has conducted research in the field of randomized control trials with the research organisation Innovations of Poverty Action (IPA).
