Adriana Conconi

Biography
Adriana Conconi is the Director of the Multidimensional Poverty Peer Network (MPPN), where she leads a global coalition of over 60 governments and 20 international organizations dedicated to advancing multidimensional poverty measurement. In this role, she works to deepen country engagement, strengthen technical cooperation, and position multidimensional poverty as a key issue in the global development agenda.
In parallel to her role at the MPPN, Adriana serves as Director of Data and Impact Evaluation at VR, Brazil, where she oversees initiatives that integrate impact-driven strategies into the company’s ecosystem, benefiting millions of workers and small businesses. She is also a Poverty and Resilience Specialist at UNDP's Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean (RBLAC), where she supports policy research and programmatic work on poverty, social protection, and resilience-building strategies in the region.
Prior to these roles, Adriana was the Director of Strategy at Harvard’s Center for International Development (CID), where she oversaw the Center's strategic planning and fundraising, and managed interdisciplinary research initiatives and global policy engagements. Before that, she spent nearly a decade at the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI), holding various positions, including Executive Director and Director of Policy and Outreach, where she played a key role in the global uptake and implementation of multidimensional poverty measures.
Earlier in her career, Adriana was a researcher at CEDLAS, Argentina, contributing to empirical research on poverty, inequality, and labor markets. She has also worked as a consultant for major international organizations, including the World Bank, UNDP, UNICEF, the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), FAO, and others. Additionally, she has held teaching positions in undergraduate and graduate programs.
She has authored and co-authored papers on poverty, inequality, and human development, with a strong focus on multidimensional poverty measurement and its applications for public policy.
