Launch of the 2024 Global Multidimensional Poverty Index Report
Join OPHI, the Human Development Report Office of the United Nations Development Programme and UNDP Thailand for the global launch of the Multidimensional Poverty Index Report 2024 in Bangkok.
The event will feature high level remarks from Ms Niamh Collier-Smith, UNDP Resident Representative to Thailand (13:00-13:15 ICT); Mr Achim Steiner, UNDP Administrator (13:15-13:20 ICT via video); and, Ms Irina Goryunova, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative to Thailand (15:50-16:00 ICT).
Professor Sabina Alkire, OPHI Director, and Ms Yanchun Zhang, Chief Statistician, Human Development Report Office, UNDP will present on the findings of the report (13:20-13:40 ICT).
Mr Danucha Pichayanan, Secretary-General, Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council will give a Special Lecture on 'Peace, Poverty Eradication, and Thailand’s Way Forward' (13:50-14:15 ICT).
An expert panel moderated by Ms Thanchanok Jongyotying, Chief News Editor, TNN will discuss 'Global Lessons and Implications for Thailand.' (14:30-15:50 ICT)
