Tedx Talk: Three ways to turn a corner on poverty

28 June 2021

In her talk, Sabina Alkire discusses three ways to turn a corner on poverty. Despite all the scientific and technological progress we have made in recent years, the pandemic sharply increased acute poverty.

Sabina’s talk explores the multidimensional ‘deprivation loads’ poor people carry, and argues that in the aftermath of the pandemic it is possible to join forces and create an historic inflection point towards ending acute poverty in all its dimensions.
