MPPN closes successfully in Seychelles
The 7th Annual Meeting of the Multidimensional Poverty Peer Network (MPPN) took place in Seychelles 1–3 July with the participation of more than 25 countries and 6 agencies.
During the meeting, the Seychelles Government launched their Pilot National MPI and the President of the Republic of the Seychelles joined us for the launch.
The meeting also featured South-South exchanges about how countries and institutions were measuring and tackling multidimensional poverty to help improve the lives of the poor. Among other topics, special attention was given to national experiences in developing the MPI, navigating political transitions, and how the measures could be used for policy action and how to report the measures for tracking progress towards the SDGs.
