Live now: ‘Measuring Multidimensional Poverty: Insights from Around the World’

OPHI has published a brochure to coincide with the upcoming launch of the Multidimensional Poverty Peer Network on 6-7 June.

‘Measuring Multidimensional Poverty: Insights from Around the World‘ features case studies on how the Alkire Foster method of measuring multidimensional poverty has been adapted and applied in Colombia, Mexico, Bhutan, China, El Salvador, Malaysia and Minas Gerais in Brazil, among others.

The brochure outlines the 12 intuitive steps taken to implement the Alkire Foster method, and focuses on the different institutions and mechanisms countries have used to implement the measure in their specific contexts.

The Multidimensional Poverty Peer Network, for policymakers engaged in implementing multidimensional poverty measures, will enable early adopters to share their experiences directly with other members. You can find out more about the launch here.
