Latest MPI results: Palestine MPI 2017
The Multidimensional Poverty Index of Palestine was launched in June 2020. The report was prepared by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and the National Team for Poverty Combating with support from OPHI. The source of data is the 2016/17 Palestinian Consumption and Expenditure Survey (PECS).
This report responds to a decree issued by the Palestinian Council of Ministers to evaluate the multidimensional poverty within the preparation framework for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Palestinian National Policy Agenda (NPA).

Palestine MPI structure: dimensions and indicators
Poverty Cut-Off: A person is considered poor if they are deprived in 33% of the 21 weighted indicators.
Global MPI
The annual global MPI produced by the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative in partnership with the Human Development Report Office of the United Nations Development Programme is an internationally comparable index of acute multidimensional poverty. OPHI publishes Country Briefings summarising poverty statistics of the global MPI for each country.
