Latest results: Malaysia MPI 2018
The MPI was introduced in Malaysia to complement the Poverty Line Income to measure and monitor poverty from multidimensional perspectives.
The MPI was introduced in the Eleventh Plan in 2016 and results were first published in the Mid-Term Review of the Eleventh Plan in 2018 based on data from 2014 and 2016.

Malaysia MPI structure: dimensions and indicators
Poverty Cut-Off: A household is considered multidimensionally poor if they are deprived in one third or more of the 11 weighted indicators.
