OPHI’s Sabina Alkire and Gaston Yalonetsky are presenting this week at the fourth meeting of the Society for the Study of Economic Inequality (ECINEQ) in Catania, Italy, July 18‐20, 2011. Sabina Alkire, OPHI’s Director, is presenting a new paper co-authored with James Foster on “Understandings and Misunderstandings of Multidimensional Poverty Measurement” (published in the Journal of Economic Inequality and as OPHI Working Paper 43), while Gaston Yalonetsky, OPHI Research Officer, will present a paper with Jaques Silber entitled “On Measuring Inequality in Life Chances when a Variable is Ordinal”.
