OPHI seeks research assistant to work on social isolation

OPHI is looking for a researcher to join the team working on social isolation as part of our Missing Dimensions programme. The successful applicant will provide research assistance in terms of literature reviews, organise an international workshop, plan qualitative field visits, support the senior scholars in developing presentations, provide overall communication support, and support research officers and our visiting scholar on other research and administrative matters related to this programme.

Qualifications for the position include a master’s or equivalent in social policy, psychology, economics, development studies, sociology, or other social sciences with research interests related to social connectedness and isolation, a  knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods,  the ability to support public presentations, and strong organisational and teamworking skills.  The postholder will be expected to travel overseas for up to 25 days a year. The post is to start as soon as possible, at 80% time (although full-time will be considered), for one year.
