A podcast and presentation of the lunchtime seminar on ‘Counting deprivations: a household-based multidimensional approach’ given by doctoral student Yadira Diaz are now available.
The lecture, which was given on 14 November 2013, presents research from Diaz’s doctoral studies, in which she looks to formalise and evaluate a counting multidimensional family of deprivation indices by extending the Alkire and Foster family of poverty indices using the household as the unit of analysis.
During the 45-minute session, Diaz discusses the proposed approach and its implications.
The podcast and presentation are available here.
