Christoph Jindra is a Research Officer at the Oxford Poverty & Human Development Initiative. His main research interests are multidimensional poverty measurement, quantitative methods, the capability approach and social inequality. He holds a doctoral degree in Social Sciences from Humboldt University Berlin where he studied at the Berlin Graduate School of Social Sciences as a member of the international and interdisciplinary European PhD in Socio-Economic and Statistical Studies programme. For his PhD he worked on issues related to the operationalisation of capabilities using latent variable techniques. During this time, he spent six months at the department of Social Statistics at the University of Southampton. Before that he studied Sociology, Economics and Psychology at the universities of Augsburg and Aachen.
