OPHI Research Associate gives video interview on MPI workshop

A Spanish-language interview on multidimensional poverty given by OPHI Research Associate Maria Emma Santos to Red Interamerican de Proteccion Social (RIPSO) is now available to view online.

In the interview, Santos discusses the workshop ‘Multidimensional Poverty Indexes – Good Practices and Lessons Learned from Latin America and Europe’, which was held in Colombia in September 2013.

The workshop, to which OPHI provided expertise on the Alkire Foster method, aimed to deepen discussions around the understanding of progress in terms of multidimensional poverty. It also provided a forum for knowledge sharing between countries who have implemented multidimensional poverty measures or that are exploring the possibility, including Colombia, Mexico and Uruguay.
