New Book on Missing Dimensions of Poverty Available in Mandarin Chinese

A new book on OPHI’s missing dimensions of poverty data is now available in Mandarin Chinese.Mandarin Chinese Missing Dimensions of Poverty Book Cover

The new publication is based on OPHI papers that introduce aspects of poverty which appear important in the experiences of deprived people, but have been largely overlooked in large-scale quantitative work on poverty and human development (Quality of work, Empowerment, Physical safety, the Ability to go about without shame and Psychological wellbeing). OPHI has developed short questionnaire modules that can be integrated into national household surveys to obtain these data.

The Director of Center for Human and Economic Development Studies (Peking University) and OPHI Research Associate, Professor Mingquan Liu and his PhD student Han Huawei have been in charge of translation of the papers into the new publication. The book is published by Science Press in Beijing and is edited by Ms. Li Ming and Mr. Liu Peng. Order the book from the Science Press website.
